The Dream

06 Apr 2009

My previous post gave an insight into my long term plans of becoming a carpenter.

In about 7/8 years time I want out of my current game and then take myself back to school to learn the trade.

The examples opposite (that bookcase and the amazing zen-like-bath) simply fuel the desire in me to ‘learn’.

I’m getting hungry to turn a dream into a reality…

Hmmm, there’s a part of me that ponders the very question as to why you are not doing this now?

If you are dreaming about carpentry why aren’t you doing that? 7/8 years – who knows what the future holds… You have all 2 hands, fingers and thumbs at present – LOL!

I have basically rejected all career paths that I have been told I should do in pursuit of a musical one – even if it means I am broke most of the time…

A great question/challenge Bobcat – I’m quite lucky as at the moment I love what I do… I’m just greedy and want to do many other things – hehe!

I’m looking to get a house in the next year or so and one of the prerequisites is a garage or outhouse so I can make a start on making things :-)

At least get that hobby on the go, no time for back burners. Everyone wants to be good at a lot of things, but sometimes you just gotta choose.

Good luck! Next time I see you I expect more splinter related injuries!
